And what if the spouse doesn't cheat (say, within several weeks) or the victim of the accident doesn't fake the injury? Or do you only take cases where cheating/faking is already known and only evidence is missing?
Very good question. I work for an agency and I'm not privy to all of the details but it is more along the way that you said -- there is strong suspension that something is not correct but there is no proof. It is my job to get that proof. I am paid a base salary which is below minimum wage and if I do obtain the proof that is needed, I am rewarded with a huge bonus by comparison. I don't get paid by the hour but by the results. If I obtain the evidence needed in one day, I get that big pay off for putting in that one day. If I need to work 80 hours a week for a month -- again, it the same bonus. It's a combination of luck and experience. Making observations to figure out the person's schedule and being around when something might happen.
Again, I have a LOT of free time on my hands and I use that time to dream up these stories. Thank you for your interest
